KFD Fire Stations

Station 32

Station 32 is located at 250 West Dorothy Lane. It houses a Paramedic Unit, a 1993 Sutphen 110' straight stick Ladder, a 1982 Sutphen Engine, and an Air Unit. Station 32 specializes as the "Air Room." We have the capabilities to make most of our own repairs to our structural firefighting air packs as well as refilling air cylinders and Medical Oxygen bottles. Additionally, Station 32 Professional Firefighters are responsible for district Fire Safety Inspections of businesses, churches, schools, and family dwellings.

Currently, Medic 32 is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by professional Firefighter/Paramedics. Staffing is divided into three platoons each having three Firefighter/Paramedics.

Engine 32 and Ladder 32 are staffed from 0700 to 1700 hours Monday thru Friday by professional Firefighter/Paramedics. These pieces respond on a "first call" basis. The crew consists of a Captain and four Firefighter/Paramedics.

 


Station 33

Station 33 is located at 2861 Bobbie Place. It houses a 2000 Pierce 85' platform Quint, a 1998 KME Engine, and a 2000 Daytona Fast Attack Engine. Station 33 specializes as the training center and EMS stock Room. Also located there is Fire Head Quarters. On the grounds at Station 33 we have the station with classroom facilities, Command Staff offices, a 1 1/2 story maze building, and a 3 story training tower.

The professional Firefighters assigned to Station 33 are trained to be members of the Tactical Rescue Team. The team has specialists in High Angle Rescue, Confined Space Rescue, Auto Extrication, and Heavy Lifting and Rigging. Team members have completed B.E.R.T. (Basic Emergency Rescue Technician) training. Additionally, Station 33 Professional Firefighters are responsible for district Fire Safety Inspections of businesses, churches, schools, and family dwellings.

Squad 33 (the Daytona) and Quint 33 are staffed from 0700 to 1700 hours Monday thru Friday by professional Firefighter/ Paramedics. These apparatus respond on a "first call" basis. The Squad is actually manned by professional Firefighter Paramedics 24 hours a day 7 days a week The crew consists of a Captain and four Firefighter/Paramedics.

 


Station 34

Station 34 is located at 2700 Patterson Road. It houses a 1988 Sutphen Engine and a secondary Medic Unit. Station 34 specializes in Fire Extinguisher Maintenance. The crew is responsible for inspecting and maintaining all fire extinguishers for all departments of the City of Kettering. . Additionally, Station 34 Professional Firefighters are responsible for district Fire Safety Inspections of businesses, churches, schools, and family dwellings.

Engine 34 and Medic 34 are staffed from 0700 to 1700 hours Monday thru Friday by professional Firefighter/Paramedics. The crew consists of a Captain and four Firefighter/Paramedics. The Medic Unit responds as a secondary EMS unit.

 


Station 36

Station 36 is located at 4500 Bigger Road. It houses a Paramedic Unit, a 1988 Sutphen Engine, the Hazardous Materials Response Unit, and the Water Rescue Unit. Station 36 specializes as the Haz-Mat Station. From here we have the capabilities to calibrate all of our air quality monitoring devices and we have an in-house sewing room to make most repairs and alterations to our structural firefighting gear. Additionally, Station 36 Professional Firefighters are responsible for district Fire Safety Inspections of businesses, churches, schools, and family dwellings.

Currently, Medic 36 is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by professional Firefighter/Paramedics. Manning is divided into three platoons each having three Firefighter/Paramedics. Engine 36 is staffed from 0700 to 1700 hours Monday thru Friday by professional Firefighter/Paramedics. The crew consists of a Captain and four Firefighter/Paramedics. The Haz-Mat Unit and Water Rescue Unit only respond on an "as needed" basis.

 

 


Station 37

Station 37 is located at 3780 Tait Road. It houses a 1998 KME Engine, a secondary Medic Unit, and a 1977 Hahn Reserve Engine. Station 37 specializes in computer technology and elementary school fire safety education.  The crew is responsible for records of and coordination of annual maintenance of the 3500+ fire hydrants in the Kettering Fire Department's jurisdiction.  Station 37 Professional Firefighters are responsible for district Fire Safety Inspections of businesses, churches, schools, and family dwellings.

Engine 37 and Medic 37 are staffed from 0700 to 1700 hours Monday thru Friday by professional Firefighter/Paramedics. The crew consists of a Captain and four Firefighter/Paramedics. The Medic Unit responds as a secondary EMS unit.
