Sour Cream Apple Pie PRINT/SAVE
3 cups tart apples, cut into wedges (Granny Smith)
3/4 cup sugar
3 tablespoon flour
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon mixed
Pie shell for 9 inch pie, use criss-cross pie crust for top
(cut top into strips and criss-cross)
Combine sugar, salt and flour.
Add sour cream and beat until very smooth.
Stir in apple wedges until all are covered in mixture.
Pour into unbaked cruse and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar mixture then cover with criss- cross top. Bake at 425 for 15 minutes, reduce heat to 375 and continue to bake for 35 minutes. Makes one 9" inch pie. To make this recipe low fat, substitute low fat sour cream
